I Peter 4:11 Preached March 30, 2009, morning service, Immanuel Southern Baptist Church, Wagoner, OK. Pastor Rick Boyne.

Do you know what your purpose in life is? The Bible says we are created to glorify God. We need to remember two very important things in life: 1) no matter our circumstances, it isn't about us, 2) no matter our circumstances, it is all about God.<img src="http://www.mypodcast.com/image-406109">

Hannaniah, Mishael, and Azariah (better known as Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego are faced with making a decision between obeying God or compromising His command to "have no other gods before" Him. They knew that obedience was the way to go and they refused to bow before the idol.

Scripture can comfort the believer. Everything that can effect the happiness of man is stacked in favor of the Christian. God gave up His Son for us and pronounces us "justified". Jesus died and was raised and now sits at God's right hand interceding on our behalf.
John 2:1-11 Preached January 25, 2009, evening service at Immanuel Southern Baptist Church, Wagoner, OK. Pastor Rick Boyne.

The first "sign" that Jesus performed was turning water into wine. Jesus said that it is an "adulterous and evil generation that seeks a sign". He said that no sign would be given but that at the time of Jonah. As Jonah spent 3 days in the belly of the whale, so would the Son of Man spend 3 days in the belly of the earth.

Are you looking for a sign? Jesus has already given it! He resurrected from the dead! That is His sign!<img src="http://www.mypodcast.com/image-371324">

The government has been trying to bail the country out of an economic crisis. There is a crisis much greater; it is our spiritual crisis. God's bailout plan for us is much more certain than the government's plan. God sent Jesus to die on the cross for us, IN OUR PLACE. As a married person wears a wedding band to show their commitment to their spouse, a believer submits to baptism by immersion to demonstrate their commitment to following Jesus and to bear testimony of what has ALREADY taken place in the heart of the believer.

There is no magic or mystical action taking place. Baptism has no salvific qualities. It takes place AFTER conversion. It is an act of obedience in the life of the believer.<img src="http://www.mypodcast.com/image-354569">

I Samuel 13:8-14 Preached December 7, 2008, Immanuel Southern Baptist Church, Wagoner, OK. Pastor Rick Boyne.

Samuel told King Saul that God had removed his kingdom from him because of his sin. He said that God had chosen someone after God's own heart. What does that mean?

Saul took matters into his own hands and didn't repent when confronted. David, (whom was the man "after God's own heart") also took matters into his own hands, but when confronted, fell on his face before God in confession and repentance. Perhaps this is what God meant.<img src="http://www.mypodcast.com/image-345103">

<itunes:summary>I Samuel 13:8-14 Preached December 7, 2008, Immanuel Southern Baptist Church, Wagoner, OK.

Perhaps this is what God meant.</itunes:summary>

We love to know what are Christmas presents are and we can hardly wait to unwrap them. God gave us the greatest gift of all: Jesus Christ. Through Jesus, we can have another incredible gift, that of Eternal Life. Jesus is the only way to get this gift; you must believe on Him.<img src="http://www.mypodcast.com/image-340745">

Jesus healed 10 lepers, but only 1 came back to express gratitude. Sin is like leprosy; it separates, stinks, and kills. Jesus can heal our souls of sin and we will be made new, just like those lepers.<img src="http://www.mypodcast.com/image-337692">

Jesus said, "I am the life". He said that because we were dead in our sins. He said that because in Him, we have life. Our sins cause a great wall between us and God. Only Jesus can break down that wall and give us life.<img src="http://www.mypodcast.com/image-334019">

Are we "playing church" or are we "being church"? Do we function like God has intended the church to function, or are we merely a social club? We are the Bride of Christ! We must be all that God wants us to be!<img src="http://www.mypodcast.com/image-334008">
