Jesus healed 10 lepers, but only 1 came back to express gratitude. Sin is like leprosy; it separates, stinks, and kills. Jesus can heal our souls of sin and we will be made new, just like those lepers.

I Am the Life

Jesus said, "I am the life". He said that because we were dead in our sins. He said that because in Him, we have life. Our sins cause a great wall between us and God. Only Jesus can break down that wall and give us life.

I am the Truth

Jesus said to Pilate that He was born to "testify to the truth". Jesus had earlier said that He was "the way, the truth, and the life". Truth isn't relative to circumstances and situations. The truth that Jesus testified to can be summed up in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life".

The Day of Good News

When the four lepers discovered the camp of the Arameans vacated, they enjoyed the bounty of that blessing. They ate their fill and hid some treasure. Then, they realized that they couldn't keep it to themselves and went back and told the besieged city of Samaria of the good news.

So, we as believers discover the good news of Jesus Christ (salvation). We enjoy the bounty of that blessing (discipleship), but not stop there. We must go and share the good news with others (evangelism/missions).
